The municipal water system in Wakefield is supplied by four wells, which have an average depth of 100 feet.

  • Combined pumping capacity is 900 gallons per minute and overhead storage capacity of 200,000 gallons
  • The system has a maximum capacity of 1,496,000 gallons per day
  • Static pressure is 65 pounds per square inch and the residual pressure is 60 pounds

A new water tower on the south edge of town is currently under construction with a completion date of June, 2015.
