The Little Red Hen theatre (LRHT) built in 2005 is a 140 seat black box theatre. The community theatre presents plays, musicals, and other fine arts productions. Four major productions are offered annually, with a variety of guest performers and fine arts activities.

Graves Library Museum

This library was one of the most luxurious libraries in the area when constructed in 1915 by Philo Graves. It was established as Graves Public Library as a memorial to his son, Jay. This library served Wakefield for over nine decades. Graves Library reopened as Graves Library Museum and is operated by the Wakefield Heritage Organization and owned by Russell Marshall. A walk through the building will take you as far back as 1881. This building is listed on the Nebraska Historical Society Register. Russell Marshall also displays his antique wrench collection in the basement.

Wakefield Depot Museum
100 East 1st Street
The beautiful Chicago & Northwestern Depot was built in 1925. It served the rail lines running east to west making the Wakefield Depot one of the busiest subdivision stations in all of Nebraska. In 2007, the Wakefield Heritage Organization took charge of renovations and after many volunteer hours, the depot opened its doors as a museum in the summer of 2009.
You can tour the large waiting room, offices, and freight room of this depot where old railroad artifacts and Wakefield treasures fill the walls of this delightful historic attraction.
