The city of Wakefield provides electric, water, sewer and trash services to residents.

  • Application for utility services can be made at the City Office at 405 Main Street
  • A utility deposit of $175.00 is required for service connection.  
    • We accept cash, checks, and credit card (nominal fee added)

Online Billing

The City is able to email your monthly utility bill saving paper and money.  Stop by the City office during regular business hours to sign up for this service.  

We also offer Autopay (ACH) for your monthly utility bill.  You choose whether the bank withdrawal occurs on the 10th or the 19th of the month (bills are due the 20th of every month).  Please see the FORMS section to find the correct form to fill out and return to the City office, or stop by City office during regular business hours for more information or to fill out the form.  At this time the City is only able to ACH bank accounts...no debit or credit cards.
