Parking Regulations

 

Restricted Vehicles
No person can park or leave standing any recreational vehicle, including but not limited to a camper, motor home, boat, flatbed, trailer, construction equipment or vehicle, straight truck or step van upon any street or terrace within the City between the hours of ten o’clock (10:00) P.M. and six o’clock (6:00) A.M. except on those streets designated by such parking or those terraces improved for parking.  Temporary parking permits can be issued by the City for a period not to exceed ten days.

Front Yard & Terrace Parking
No person shall park a vehicle, recreational vehicle, or trailer on the front yard or terrace without first improving the terrace or front yard with concrete or asphalt.  Specific guidelines have been set for parking pads.  Guidelines can be obtained at the City Office.

Snow Removal
All vehicles parked within the Business District (Main Street- First Street to Fifth Street) must be removed immediately following a snowfall of sufficient amount to require snow removal, until the streets are cleared.  Prior to an anticipated snowfall of two inches or more, parking shall be restricted on all city streets to the even-numbered street addresses until snow has been plowed.  Cars shall then move to the odd-numbered street side until snow is cleared.  No parking shall be allowed on the streets within a circle of any cul-de-sac.  On those streets where “No Parking” signs are posted, the no parking restriction shall apply.
