Humpty Dumpty Daycare

Humpty Dumpty Daycare Building

Humpty Dumpty Daycare located at 405 Johnson Street provides quality daycare based on the individual needs of children in a class and the collective needs of the class as a whole.  As a result, we will have children with a stronger sense of self and a stronger sense of community.

Humpty Dumpty Daycare is an education based center.  Our focus is on developmental skills such as fine and gross motor, listening, following directions, expressive & receptive language, problem solving, and appropriate social behaviors.  We offer programs for infants, toddlers, pre-kindergartners, and school-age children.

Our daycare hours are from 5:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.  We care for children ranging in age from 6 weeks through 12 years old.  If you would like to enroll your child/children or have any questions, please feel free to call the Director, Hedi Rischmueller, at (402) 287-1006 or send an email to wakefieldhumptydumpty91 [at] yahoo.com .

Please visit our Facebook Page to see all the fun activities we have done throughout the year.  You can read up on the theme for the week and what activities each program will be working on.

HUMPTY DUMPTY ISN’T GOING TO FALL BUT HE NEEDS MORE WALLS!

Humpty Dumpty Daycare is expanding to accommodate the growing need for dependable, affordable daycare in the community.  The HDD Board has set a goal in 2019 to take the next step in serving this major need in our community with a significant expansion to the HDD facility. This addition will consist of 1,825-square feet of finished space upon completion. The addition of classrooms will allow our staff more flexibility in the ages of children we accept. More specifically, the addition will include:

  • an infant room (6 weeks to 18 months);
  • a transition room (18 months to 3 years);
  • an expanded kitchen
  • a staff break room;
  • and storage/supply space.

The project is estimated to cost $400,000.  To assist in reaching that goal, Humpty Dumpty Daycare families, staff and Board of Directors are reaching out to the community and businesses in hopes of raising the funds to complete this project debt free.  To date, $275,000 has already been donated to the project!

Humpty Dumpty Daycare has established a special purpose (non-endowed) fund with BankFirst in Wakefield.  This will allow donors to pledge money safely and anonymously, if desired.  Donations can be made in many different forms:  gift of cash, securities, paid up life insurance, retirement plan assets, etc.  All donations are tax deductible and tax receipts will be issued to donors.  Find a donation form here.
