Wakefield Cemetery

The Wakefield Cemetery is located on Seventh Street on the west side of town.  

The Cemetery Board and Sexton do their best to provide a pleasant environment for your loved one's resting place.

All inquiries regarding the cemetery may be directed to the wakecemetery [at] gmail.com (cemetery secretary). They are able to let you know of availability, where your loved one is buried, and other rules and regulations.  Please call the City Office at 402-287-2080 to get in touch with the secretary.

Prices as of January 14, 2025 are as follows (and can change without notice):

Plots/Graves → $450.00 single grave

   4. Cremations
      1. April to October $550
      2. November to March (frozen ground) $600
   5. Add-ons
      1. Saturday burial add $300
      2. Sunday and Holiday burial add $400
      3. All dirt removed (upon request) add $150
   6. Full Disinterment $1250
